What does it do?

The Rodecaster is an all-in-one podcast recording studio with 4 high-quality microphone channels and Bluetooth inputs.

Quick start instructions:
Plug mics via XLR into the corresponding inputs on the Rodecaster.
Plug headphones into each headphone jack on the Rodecaster that correspond to the mics.
Attach mics stand to stand bases. Attach mics to mic stands.
Plug the included power supply into the power input on the Rodecaster, then the power cable into a wall socket.
Power on by pressing the red power button on the back.
Adjust the microphone gain by turning up and down the faders corresponding to mics 1 and 2.
Make sure that your recording levels aren’t “peaking” by looking at the sound meters and keeping them below red.
Adjust headphone volume by turning the corresponding volume knobs located on the upper left of the Rodecaster.
Begin recording by pressing the ‘REC’ button so that the light turns red. Press ‘REC’ again to stop recording.
To record using your own computer and software, plug the supplied USB cable into your computer and make the Rodecaster the main input device in your computer’s system settings.
Your recordings will be saved to the included MicroSD card, which can be removed and mounted for backup on a workstation in the Media Lab.
