Investing: Annual Reports

Shareholder (Annual) Reports

Public companies are required to release an annual report for shareholders. Annual reports often contain:
  • A letter to the shareholders
  • Company highlights
  • Analysis of company performance
  • New product plans
  • Market segment information
  • Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement)
Annual reports can be found on a company's website. Where? Look for links like these:
  • Investors
  • Investor Relations
  • Company Information
  • About Us

The 10K is part of a company's annual report but can also be found separately in the EDGAR database.

Mergent Intellect database is another source for annual reports.
