Steps to Login

Step 1: Enter @cod.edu or @dupage.edu email and confirm the school name is correct.

Step 1.5: If you have linked your personal LinkedIn account you will have to enter your password for that account before proceeding. If you cannot remember your password you can reset it or get an email link to verify your login attempt.

Step 2: Next, sign in using your COD credentials. If you have forgotten your username or password, use the helpful links at the bottom of the page.

Step 3: You're ready to start learning! New users will be prompted to complete their profiles before continuing, but this can be skipped and completed at a later time.

Note: You will be prompted to enter your personal LinkedIn account email every time you log in on a new browser or device or if you log out of LinkedIn and LinkedIn Learning completely. To avoid this step you can unlink your account in the user settings.

Lost Access and Not a Current Student/Employee?

The Library has switched over to a Single Sign-On system for LinkedIn Learning and many of our other resources. If you were able to use your LinkedIn Learning account up until recently, you should check to see if you are still an active student with the college. The new system does not allow for users who are former students or employees to access LinkedIn Learning via the Library's licenses.

If you are an active student/employee and are not able to log in to LinkedIn Learning, please contact us via the many options provided at https://library.cod.edu/ask

If you have lost access to your account and need to retrieve certificates of completed courses, please contact our Electronic Resources Coordinator, Yuli Melnyk at melnyky@cod.edu for assistance.

Setup Process

First time users will be prompted to setup their profile so LinkedIn Learning can customize content for a personalized experience. This step can be skipped by clicking the X on the top right.

Users can link their professional LinkedIn profile to their LinkedIn Learning account so they can add all completed certificates to their profile page. This can be skipped and completed later as well.

Enter your current title or the professional title you would to learn more about. LinkedIn Learning will customize your suggestions to support professional development in your current or future role.

By entering the skills you need to advance in your career you are allowing LinkedIn Learning to give suggestions of certificates that will help you get there.

Setting a weekly goal helps you stay accountable and you will receive emails to remind you to keep going and keep learning. This can be changed later and you are not limited to the time you select.

You're done! Now it is time to start exploring your learning content. Remember if you skipped this part you can always go back and finish setting up your profile from your dashboard.

LinkedIn Learning is always adding content is multiple languages. Changing the language will change the whole interface and will only show videos in the chosen language.

Sharing Links to Videos and Courses

If you want to share a video link, click the share button in the right corner of the video. Here you'll be able to share the link, share to a social media page, or get the embedded link code.

If you want to share just the URL link you have the option to share the whole course or the specific video you are watching.

Did you know you can also share videos with your LinkedIn connections from your LinkedIn Learning page? If you've connected your personal LinkedIn account you can share a video straight from the search results page to your news feed.

Here you can add your connections via the @ symbol if you want to tag specific people in your post. Use the dropdown menu to select your viewing audience (public, connections, or specific individuals).
