The College of DuPage Library has access to many Spanish language e-resources. We have access to academic journals, popular magazines, comics, and eBooks for all age groups and on various topics of interest from academic to fiction.
Spanish materials are discoverable in the Library catalog, but it is easiest to go to the database and find them there. EBSCO, OverDrive, and ComicsPlus are the main vendors of these materials.
It is important to note that all of the magazines, comics, and academic journals are set to unlimited users/checkouts, so there is no wait time or limit. In OverDrive, magazines do not count towards the general checkout rule so users can read as many issues as they want in as many titles as they want. For EBSCO eBooks, a small percentage of eBooks have limited checkout times and users. This information is posted in the title's metadata and appears when a user goes to checkout the book.
Troubleshooting questions should be sent to our E-Resources Team at e-resources@cod.edu. For help finding Spanish materials for class, contact our reference desk via chat, email, phone, or in person.
OverDrive has over 260 Spanish magazines. Edition options include Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Latin America, Ecuador, and more. Some titles will have multiple editions available from different counties.
The Library has eBooks in EBSCO for a wide range of audiences and reading levels. Users are able to download or read in browser.

A few of our EBSCO databases have Spanish journals. The best way to find them is to use a language filter and set it to Spanish. It is recommended to leave the full text button unchecked as LibKey will be able to find many articles that are available on the web or through our other databases.
