We recently made some exciting changes to our database collection. We have moved away from the ProQuest One Academic Collection in favor of resources better suited to meet the needs of our community. While ProQuest Central subject databases, Academic Complete eBooks, AVON videos, and Dissertations and Theses are no longer available from ProQuest, we have plenty of multidisciplinary content in our new databases.
If you are having trouble finding the resources that you need, ask a librarian for help! Get in touch online or in person to get help navigating our new databases.
Introducing New Databases:
📖 EBSCO - Community College eBook Collection: Explore a specialized eBook collection intended to cater to the academic needs of a community college like COD.
🎬 Films On Demand - Master Academic Film Collection: Immerse yourself in a world of knowledge through a wide array of videos from renowned production companies including PBS, HBO, TED, and more.
🔍 EBSCO - Academic Search Ultimate: Step up your research game with our new extensive collection of scholarly content, boasting more than double the resources found in Academic Search Complete.
Newspaper Update:
📰 Our major newspapers on the ProQuest platform remain unaffected by this change. The Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald, New York Times, Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal are still available with coverage ranging from the 1980s to the present. We have retained our international newspapers as well so you'll never miss a story from anywhere in the world.
The Library strives to provide high quality content to our students, staff, faculty, and district residents. We are constantly evaluating to see what meets the needs of our community and what does not. We appreciate any feedback you have on our most recent changes. You can submit feedback to our Electronic Resources Team at e-resources@cod.edu.
