You can search the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) for journals published in a specific country.
- Go to the DOAJ site and do a search on your topic - ex. health sciences
- Then filter your results by country under the "Publishers' Countries" on the left side of the search results page.
- Click on the journal title to learn more about the subjects the journal covers, aims and scope, and editorial board.
- Go to the journals website to access their content. Bonus - their content is open access so it's free to access!
You can use the search results to identify non-western scholars from a specific country, and then do a search within library databases, book catalogs, or on the open web.
