Speech Communication: Resources for Remote Teaching

Resources to Support Remote Teaching and Learning

Below are some best practices and Library resources to help support online teaching and learning.

  1. Library Cards. Students no longer need library cards in order to access COD Library resources from off-campus. Students, faculty, and staff will instead be prompted to log in with the same Username and Password used for MyACCESS and Blackboard.
  2. WRSA Speech Assistance. Writing, Reading, Speech Assistance (WRSA) is currently working remotely to offer coaching sessions for College of DuPage students who are working on assignments for any class.
  3. E-books. The Library's e-book collection includes a wide variety of resources: some are downloadable, others can be viewed by multiple simultaneous users, some can be checked-out. If you have questions about the availability of any e-books, please contact me.
  4. Online Video. Many of the videos available through the Library databases can be embedded in Blackboard or shared via a permanent link.

  5. Database Tutorials. Here are some tutorials for several of the most commonly used databases for Speech research.
