ELA/ELS Services at COD
Writing, Reading, Speech Assistance offers various opportunities for non-native students (ESL) to improve their English skills and succeed in their classes. The services are free to currently enrolled COD students.
ELA/ELS Services give students the opportunity to:
- Improve their speaking and listening skills through one-on-one conversations on different topics.
- Learn new vocabulary and practice grammar.
- Overcome the language barrier and gain confidence in their English-speaking skills.

Mango Languages
Mango Languages
Mango is an adaptive learning language interface featuring more than 70 languages such as English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Korean. Mango offers critical thinking and memory-building exercises, grammar and culture notes, and conversation-based methodology to help build language and communication skills.
Mango has a section on how to communicate with healthcare staff in hospitals and pharmacies. Select the Lifestyle section to practice communicating in these healthcare settings.
