Spotlight Database: Bloomsbury Architecture

by Yuli Melnyk on February 28th, 2024 in Architecture | 0 Comments

Bloomsbury Architecture is a specialized digital resource for the study of architecture, as well as interior design and urbanism.
It contains introductory and advanced materials as eBooks, short articles, and interactive tools.

An excellent resource for architecture history, this database contains:

  • Key building profiles including pictures and elevations.
  • An interactive timeline to visualize architectural developments and the historical context surrounding them.
  • An interactive map helps visualize and search for buildings and architects located in specific areas of the world.
  • 159 eBooks on specialized architecture topics from The Semiotics of Architecture in Video Games to Domicide: Architecture, War and the Destruction of Home in Syria.
  • Includes Sir Banister Fletcher's Global History of Architecture, an essential reference for architecture from 3500 BCE to today.

In addition to this resource we have a display featuring architecture and interior design books, Library Redesign Project plans, and a scale model of the Fuel Garden shed.

All of these titles are available for checkout.
