Would you like to know more about using a green screen? Learn how to film and edit green screen videos using equipment in the Media Lab throughout the month of March. Green screen is also called chroma keying, a special effect that can blend characters or people into the background of a new location. Green and blue are the most common colors to do chroma keying because those colors are not featured on the outside of someone’s skin making it easier to light and frame someone in post-production. Productions may use chroma key to stage fight sequences, science fiction locations including faraway planets or space battles, weather reports for news stations demonstrating where storms are moving, and more. Discover what you can do with a green screen in March!
