LibKey by Third Iron: LibKey Link

LibKey Link

Here's how LibKey Link works:

  • Direct access to PDFs: LibKey Link combines information about e-journal holdings, authentication methods, and article links to provide one-click access to PDF documents. This eliminates the need for users to navigate through multiple pages or complex menus to reach the full text.
  • Multiple source linking: LibKey Link can connect users to full-text content from both publisher and aggregator sources. This ensures that users can access the content they're entitled to, regardless of the source.
  • Fallback mechanism: If direct access to an article is not possible, LibKey Link intelligently reverts to the library's link resolver. This ensures that users always have a path to access the content they need.
  • Identifier-based linking: LibKey Link uses precise, identifier-based linking (such as DOIs or PMIDs) to connect users directly to the desired content.

By streamlining the access process, LibKey Link significantly reduces the number of clicks and time required for users to reach full-text articles, enhancing the overall research experience.

Understanding the LibKey Landing Page
