Gale eBooks is a collection of online reference books on a variety of topics including business, history, literature, health & medicine, social science, technology, and more. The inclusion of key word definitions within its concise encyclopedia entries makes this database the perfect starting point for professional and personal research.
- EBSCO eBook Collection
EBSCO eBooks Collection spans a variety of topics. Most books in this collection are in PDF format. Many titles in the EBSCO eBook Collection can be downloaded in their entirety to your computer or mobile reading device.
- ProQuest Ebook Central
Ebook Central is a large and growing collection of books on a variety of topics. All books in this collection are also accessible through the COD Library catalog. Use your Ebook Central account to check out and download books, use the reading tools, and create reading lists.

The R2 Digital Library is a web-based, health sciences, eBook database featuring a collection of medical, nursing, and allied health titles. It can be accessed on desktop computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and web-capable electronic readers. It has an A-Z index of drug names, diseases, and topics that are searchable by discipline, practice area, or condition.
Titles are limited to one user per copy, if the title you need is in use come back at a later time and try again.

The Gale Encyclopedia of Medicine
Features information on medical topics, including diseases/disorders and tests/treatments. Designed for health science students and consumers.
The Gale Encyclopedia of Nursing and Allied Health
Covers topics in nursing and allied health written for students and professionals in the field. Alphabetically arranged entries cover topics in body systems and functions, conditions and common diseases, contemporary health care issues and theories, techniques and practices, and devices and equipment.

Many videos are discoverable in our Library Catalog. However, sometimes it is helpful to search by keyword or title in our various streaming media collections.
- Kanopy
The Kanopy video collection covers a variety of subjects across many disciplines. Kanopy's strongest offerings include global and historical feature films, indie titles, and documentaries. Title availability is split between "in collection" and "request" tabs. Users needing titles for assignments can request access via the request button. Faculty can reach out to the Electronic Resources team for future assistance at e-resources@cod.edu
- Nursing Education in Video
Nursing Education in Video is a collection of streaming videos created specifically for the education and training of nurses, nursing assistants, and other healthcare workers. All the videos in the collection have been created with the guidance of the Medcom-Trainex advisory board and are regularly reviewed for accuracy, currency, and compliance with US Federal regulations by agencies such as OSHA and CMS.
