The Atlantic offers a wide range of articles on topics including politics, foreign affairs, business and the economy, culture and the arts, technology, and science. COD students, faculty, and staff can access online articles, newsletters, podcasts, the monthly magazine, as well as an extensive archive dating back to 1857, the crossword, and exclusive digital content. Sign in with your COD email to access this resource.
Use your COD credentials to login to The Atlantic from web browser or from the app. No account creation needed, your COD email will authenticate you and create a personal account for you where you can save and read articles across devices.
First time users will be prompted to "Set Up Their Account", this is an optional customization feature and can be skipped.
All faculty, students, and staff have access to The Atlantic from the COD Library.
Download The Atlantic app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. This tutorial is done in dark mode but the app will adapt to your system settings.
Once downloaded go to the account icon on the top right to sign in.
Click "Sign In" on the bottom of the page. No account creation is needed for The Atlantic since it authenticates through the College's Single Sign On system.
On the bottom of the screen click "Sign In" again to sign in through COD. You'll only have to do this once on the app unless you log out or delete the app.
Type in "College of DuPage" in the search box.
Click continue to be routed to the COD login page.
Login with your COD credentials (MyAccess login). After this you will be taken back to the account screen and you are ready to browse The Atlantic.
