Computer & Equipment Return Procedure
On May 18th - 20th, please follow this procedure when you arrive:
Bring your ID (or send it with the drop-off person)
Please wear a mask
Pull up your car to the drop-off area
Wait in your car if staff are busy assisting others
Step out of your vehicle and place equipment in a bin as instructed
If you aren’t able to exit your car, please indicate that to Library staff so they can provide accommodations
Staff will check in the equipment and issue you a receipt
You may have someone return the equipment for you. Please have them bring your student ID, if possible, so we can verify your information in our system.
If you are unable to return equipment during these times or are unable to come to campus, you can make alternate arrangements by contacting the Library at (630) 942-2106 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have borrowed computers or equipment from another college department, you should make arrangements with that department to return it.
Computer Renewals for Summer Students
Students who received a loaned laptop during the campus closure may get a renewal for summer term if they are enrolled in classes. Please respond to the message you will be receiving in your dupage.edu email account to confirm that you are taking summer classes and would like a renewal.
Students enrolled in some Continuing Education courses may have their computer loan renewed for summer. Contact your instructor or program contact with questions.
The Library is not offering new laptop loans at this time.
Book & Media Returns
The outside book drop on the north side of the SRC will be open starting May 18th to accept book and media returns. You are not required to return items while the campus remains closed. Library due dates are being extended for checked out items, and no fines will be charged while the campus is closed.
Materials borrowed from I-Share libraries and through interlibrary loan may also be placed in the book drop.
Do not put equipment returns, bookstore rentals, or materials borrowed from other college departments in the book drop. Equipment can easily get damaged by doing so and you will be held liable for the cost of repair.
