MedlinePlus is the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) consumer health web portal. It contains reputable information on health topics, medical tests, drugs and supplements, genetics, the latest medical news, and more in a variety of reading levels and languages, including Spanish. Its medical encyclopedia contains images and videos. It can be linked to EHRs (Electronic Health Records) and should be the first stop when seeking health information on the internet.
MedScape Reference
An online clinical reference providing in-depth drug & disease information and tools to support clinical decision making. Content is designed for practicing medical professionals and includes diagnostic medical images. Free Registration to MedScape is required. To quickly locate information on a disease or condition, try Googling the word emedicine and your disease/condition (i.e. emedicine pertussis). Once you access the article, login for full content.
The PubMed database, freely available via the Internet, provides citations and abstracts to articles in medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, allied health, and the pre-clinical sciences; it also indexes articles from the Index to Dental Literature and the International Nursing Index. PubMed is a service of the US National Library of Medicine. Citations may include links to full-text articles from PubMed Central or publisher websites.

County Health Rankings and Roadmaps
The CHR&R program provides data, evidence, guidance, and examples to build awareness of the multiple factors that influence health and support community leaders working to improve health and increase health equity. The Rankings measure the health of nearly every county in all 50 states, and are complemented by guidance, tools, and resources. CHR&R translates and communicates complex data and evidence-based policy into accessible models, reports, and products that deepen the understanding of what makes communities healthy and inspires and supports improvement efforts. FastStats is a site that provides quick and easy access to public health statistics. The freely available website is maintained by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics. Users can browse alphabetically by topic and state/territory or search across the National Center for Health Statistics site. Impact DuPage
The Impact DuPage website is intended to help community members and policymakers learn about the health of the community. The website is funded by the DuPage County Health Department. It provides local health data, resources, best practices, news articles and information about community events. In keeping with the Impact DuPage mission and values, the site provides balanced information on a broad range of topics affecting the health and well-being of our community and highlights local assets.
Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF): State Health Facts
Provides free, up-to-date, and easy-to-use health data for all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the United States. In some cases, data are available for counties, territories, and other geographies. State Health Facts is comprised of more than 800 health indicators and provides users with the ability to map, rank, trend, and download data.
