CCRC is an independent research organization funded entirely by grants from foundations, government agencies, and other organizations.

- Office of Community College Research and LeadershipOur mission is to provide research, leadership, and service to community college educators and administrators, and assist in improving community college education policy and practice, particularly within the Illinois community college system. Current initiatives focus on partnerships between community colleges and high schools, including studies of programs of study, academic and career pathways, applied baccalaureate degree programs, and college and career readiness programs, all initiatives that support youth or adult learners' transition to college and careers.
