DuPage County Veterans Assistance
The VAC of DuPage is distinct unit of local government created by State Law and funded by DuPage County.The VAC is an annual one-time emergency assistance program designed to help veterans that find themselves in need of financial assistance. They provide help with bills and expenses and provide advocacy for veterans in DuPage county.

eBenefits
eBenefits is your one-stop shop for online benefits-related tools and information. This portal is designed for Wounded Warriors, Veterans, Service Members, their families, and their caregivers. eBenefits provides two main services. It's a catalog of links to information on other websites about military and Veteran benefits. And it provides a personalized workspace called My eBenefits which gives quick access to all the online tools now integrated into eBenefits - tools that let you do things like apply for benefits, download your DD 214, and see your benefits status online.

Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents and Survivors
An online viewable copy of the Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents and Survivors booklet. There is also an option to download the PDF.

Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans
Located in Wheaton, the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans is a not-for-profit transitional living facility that provides assistance to U.S. veterans of any era for the opportunity to return to useful and productive lives by providing them with the skills for independent living.

Military Handbooks
This site is run by Grantham University and provides free military handbooks to active and retired military personnel. The handbooks are easy to read, down-loadable PDFs and cover such topics as benefits, retirement planning, education benefits, and career decisions.

From the U.S. National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health, this portal provides trust-worthy information on health related issues pertaining to veterans. This site offers information on many topics including PTSD, insurance coverage, clinical trials, and mental health. It also includes links to videos, glossaries, journal articles, directories and organizations.
