Virtual study rooms let students work collaboratively online using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra
Request a virtual study room using the chat widget on this page, via our Ask Us page, or using the Chat With Us widget at the top of every page in the Library website.
Virtual study rooms are checked out for 2 hours. If more time is needed, contact our staff via chat to request an extension.
Once you request a virtual study room via chat, a librarian will create a room for you and send you a link to the room. You can then share this link with your group members.
You will need to supply your Library barcode number at the time of your request. You can request a Library card online if you don't have one.
Sharing Audio & Video
After you enter the virtual study room, you'll be asked to enter your name.
Your browser will ask you to "Allow" access to your microphone and video camera.
Blackboard will help you test your microphone and speaker levels and your video camera.
You can enable or disable video using the icon buttons at the bottom of the screen:
To share your screen, open a whiteboard, or upload files with your group (as well as access group chat and your account settings), click the "Open Collaborate panel" button on the lower right corner of your screen:
