WGSN is a market intelligence tool. It examines current and future trends in a variety of design and creative industries including fashion and interior design. This rich resource includes trend forecasting reports, trade show reports, examinations of consumer behaviors, merchandising advice, and much more. The University of Fashion contains detailed video tutorials on drawing, draping, pattern making, garment construction, and also has downloadable materials like select patterns and croquis. The lessons are scaffolded into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced categories.
The New York Times Digital Edition includes access to the Newspaper, the Magazine, the Book Review, the Learning Network for Educators, and a variety of newsletter selections, as well as a variety of images and videos created for the newspaper.

The best way to start searching the Library catalog is to do a keyword search for words that describe your topic. Try to choose specific keywords. You may need to experiment with keywords to find ones that work for your topic. Once you find some items, you can use subject headings to find other items that cover the same topic.

There are several encyclopedias, handbooks, and dictionaries to use for a quick lookup. Reference materials are not typically something you sit down and read cover to cover, though you could if you really wanted to. A small selection is shown below.
The Library keeps copies of some textbooks “On Reserve,” which means that they can be checked out and used within the Library for 2 hours at a time. Curious if your textbook is on reserve? Check the Fashion Course Reserves List.
