Accessing eBooks for District Residents
After signing in to the ISL EBSCOhost portal you will see a long list of services and databases available. Select "Statewide Databases" towards the bottom of the page.
Once in the EBSCOhost database, you will be able to select the eBook collection(s) that you would like to browse.
Many of the collections are broken up into subjects or age groups. Select as many collections as you'd like to search or keep it at the default 48 databases to search everything available at once.
Search by title, genre, author, keyword, or ISBN/ISSN. The eBook databases have a wide variety of titles and formats to choose from.
Reading options can include PDF or ePub. You can read in the browser or using Adobe Digital Editions on your computer, phone, or tablet. Not every option is available for each title. Some titles such as graphic novels may be better suited for larger screens and therefore easier to read on your PC or tablet.
Downloads are available for the entire book and individual chapters. Downloading the book will allow for offline reading.
